Analytics report calculates Reds starlet is nearly twice as valuable as Joao Felix

Only two players in world football aged 21 or under are more valuable than Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to a new report from analytics company Football Benchmark (via the Liverpool ECHO).

Alexander-Arnold, valued at €81 million (£73 million), was behind only PSG forward Kylian Mbappe (€225 million), who has been linked with a move to the Reds over the last few weeks, and ex-Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho (€96 million), now at Jurgen Klopp’s former side Borussia Dortmund.

Joao Felix, meanwhile, who is believed to be on the verge of signing for Atletico Madrid for more than £120 million, was valued at just €45 million – almost half the value of the Reds’ right-back.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz (€71 million) placed fourth on the list, while Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt, another linked with the Reds this summer, came in fifth place, valued at €70 million.

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic, who the Reds made a bid of £11 million for in 2016, was valued at €55 million, a similar amount to what the Blues signed him for in January.

Everyone knows just how good Alexander-Arnold is, and reports like this only reaffirm that. It’s nice to see that his value is so high – although there’s no chance of the Reds cashing in any time soon!
