Adam Bogdan has sent a heartfelt message to Liverpool fans as he leaves the club this summer, four years after he arrived on a free transfer.

While he was never a stellar signing, and was never going to pull up any trees at Anfield, he clearly felt privileged to have represented the club.

No Reds fans will be losing any sleep over his departure, but we wish him the best of luck wherever he goes next with his contract expiring today.

Taking to Instagram, Bogdan wrote: “I want to say thank you for the people who supported me, gave me the chance to play for this huge club and who helped me get through hard times.

“I will always feel privileged that I belonged to Liverpool FC, trained and played with such fantastic players.

“I’m sure the club will be successful for a long time coming, because the people working for them are simply amazing. I would like to wish YOU the very best for the future!”

The Hungarian stopper only played six times for the Reds, and many fans will have forgotten that he was still under contract at the club.

At the age of 31, his career is far from over, although his next move is unlikely to be at a top side. Several Championship clubs are likely to be interested in him, while there will also be interest abroad.
