Southampton take cheeky dig at Reds with Che Adams signing announcement

Southampton announced this afternoon that they had signed striker Che Adams from Birmingham City – and took the opportunity to take a cheeky dig at the Reds in the process.

Having picked up the likes of Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk from the Saints over the years, to name just two, the south coast club are not exactly best pleased with the Reds.

In the announcement video tweeted out on the official Southampton account, Adams is on a train from the Midlands to the south with manager Ralph Hassenhuttl driving. In the background, Jurgen Klopp can be seen flying overhead with a pair of binoculars.

The video is sure to get fans of all clubs smiling and you can watch it below.

The only player from Southampton linked with a move to Anfield this summer was Matt Targett – a potential back-up left-back option – but he has today gone to Aston Villa. It seems the Saints are safe for this year, at least!
