Liverpool sign Premier League record breaker, confirms Telegraph – beating Real Madrid & PSG to his services

This is a big scoop from Liverpool, which follows the incredibly smart business that brought Sepp van den Berg to Anfield a few weeks back.

According to the Telegraph, we’ve won the race for prodigal midfielder Harvey Elliot, who will officially sign this summer.

The wonderkid currently plays for Fulham, and last season became the youngest player to ever feature in the Premier League. As a result, the likes of Barcelona and PSG have been circling, but Liverpool appear to have won the race.

Elliot is an attacking midfielder with sublime feet and an ability to both beat an opponent or carve open a defence with a cunning pass.

Fulham obviously wanted to keep the England U17 international, but he rejected their offer of a professional contract and will sign for the Reds, who will have to pay a hefty compensation fee, instead.

If Elliot is good enough, he’ll hope to follow in the footsteps of Trent Alexander-Arnold – a player who was starring for our U23s two years ago – but is now recognised as one of the leading right-backs on the planet.

Under Jurgen Klopp, Elliot will be afforded opportunities to prove himself in training at Melwood – and we hope to perhaps see him in a first-team pre-season game if the deal is concluded and officially announced soon.
