Unknown City CB is better at ‘playing football’ than Van Dijk, says coach

Have you ever heard of Philippe Sandler?

Us neither! Apparently the 22-year-old signed for Manchester City in 2018, but he’s yet to make an appearance for our rivals in the Premier League or Europe – and has just been sent on loan to Anderlecht to play under Vincent Kompany.

Interestingly, he actually was signed from FC Zwolle, the same club we just snared Sepp van den Berg from.

Outrageously, one of Sandler’s former coaches, John van’t Schip, has claimed Sandler is a better ‘footballer’ than Virgil van Dijk; Liverpool’s no.4 and hands down world’s greatest central defender.

“Van Dijk has of course already achieved it at Groningen, Celtic, Southampton and Liverpool. But playing football, Philippe might be better,” Van’t Schip told Het Laatste Nieuws via Sport Witness.

Van Dijk is not only the most physically gifted centre-back we’ve seen, but one of the best with the ball at his feet, too.

His ability to switch play with a casual swing of his enormous boot is exceptional – and his touch is equally sensational.

We’ve never seen Sandler play, in truth – so perhaps he is the real deal – but if you’re 22 and being sent on loan to Anderlecht – you probably shouldn’t be rated as ‘better’ at football than Netherlands’ captain and outright favourite for the Ballon d’Or ahead of Lionel Messi!
