Daniel Sturridge, who left Liverpool earlier in the month on the expiration of his contract, has been the victim of a nasty crime in which his LA house has been smashed into – with thieves stealing his pet dog.
The striker posted an emotional message earlier today on Instagram, in which he claimed he’d ‘pay anything’ for information – telling his followers he ‘just wants his dog back’.
Many Liverpool players have had their houses broke into on Merseyside over the past few years – usually when they’re playing matches – with criminals knowing full well they’ll be out of the property for a set number of hours.
But this is the first time a player’s pet has been stolen – which makes it all far nastier than simple material possessions.
We hope Studge gets his pooch back!
