Brilliant news: Daniel Sturridge’s plea for stolen dog to be returned has worked

Daniel Sturridge’s dog has been returned to the former Reds forward after it was stolen yesterday during a break-in.

The pet went missing, prompting the striker to post on Instagram, pleading for its safe return. He offered a reward of £30,000 for someone to bring it back, and that has now happened, according to the BBC.

Sturridge’s plea for help was shared extensively across social media throughout yesterday, and now he has been reunited with it. It’s horrible that someone would take the dog away – but at least now the situation has been resolved.

Sturridge is currently in America having not yet found his next club. It will be interesting to see where he ends up going. At the age of 29, Sturridge still has a few years left in his career.

A club in MLS might appeal given he spends so much time Stateside. It would not be a shock to see him stay in America, where he is currently on holiday.
