Imminent Reds signing spotted watching on from the stands in Tranmere demolition

Fulham starlet Harvey Elliott – who is on the verge of signing for the Reds – was spotted in the stands at Prenton Park watching on as his future teammates hammered Tranmere Rovers by six goals to nil in the first friendly of pre-season.

The England youth international is a similar age to the likes of Ki-Jana Hoever, the Dutch defender who was exceptional in the game this evening, and the good performance must have been a welcome sight for Elliott.

He already knew that he was joining the European Champions – but now he’s seen them up close, the winger must be even more excited at the thought of playing in this team.

Harry Wilson, Adam Lallana and Rhian Brewster were all good in the first half, while Yasser Larouci at left-back was the undoubted stand-out.

In the second period, Curtis Jones, Bobby Duncan and Adam Lewis were just three of those who did very well. Divock Origi got himself a goal and looked full of confidence.

The Reds face Bradford City next, on Sunday afternoon.
