After failing to agree a fee with Fulham, Sky Sports News have confirmed that the Reds will have to pay a compensation fee for 16-year-old, Harvey Elliott, which will be set by a tribunal.
A fee will therefore have to paid to Fulham before Elliott is able to join Liverpool on what is expected to be youth terms. The Reds previously paid a record £8 million tribunal fee to sign Danny Ings in 2016.
The imminent arrival was spotted at the Reds’ pre-season game against Tranmere Rovers this week as the cogs of the transfer deal continue to whirr.
