Liverpool starting XI v Bradford: Klopp renews faith in youth as Reds look to end Bantams’ streak

Posted by

Liverpool continue their pre-season with a short trip to Yorkshire to face off against League Two outfit Bradford City, and Jurgen Klopp has named a little-changed side to start the game.

The Bantams won their two previous friendlies over non-league sides Guiseley AFC and Brighouse Town, but the Reds should put a stop to that.

Simon Mignolet is between the sticks with Vitezslav Jaros picking up an injury at Prenton Park earlier in the week.

Dejan Lovren features for the first time this pre-season at the heart of the Reds defence with Nathan Phillips. Nathaniel Clyne and Yasser Larouci keep their starting places.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Adam Lallana make up the midfield trio, just as they did against Tranmere.

Ryan Kent, Harry Wilson and Rhian Brewster also retain their starting places after impressing.

Liverpool’s XI for the second half sees ten changes; Ki-Jana Hoever, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Adam Lewis, Fabinho, Ben Woodburn, Curtis Jones, Liam Millar, Divock Origi and Bobby Duncan.
