With the Reds jetting off to the United States this morning for a stateside pre-season tour, the club have today released some free to view ‘Inside Training’ footage from the weekend’s Melwood training.
Prior to today’s departure, Saturday at Melwood saw the return of the Reds’ Champions League heroes, Virgil van Dijk, Gini Wijnaldum, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson, and the minorly-injured Andy Robertson.
After staff handshakes, Klopp hugs, and teammate reunions, the available quartet were put through the dreaded ‘James Milner Ribena Lactate Test’ TM, while the rest of the Reds were engaged in training.
With nearly everyone having reconvened at Melwood, there were goalkeeping exercises before some finishing drills capped off the Saturday session.
