At an official Liverpool FC Supporters’ Club even in the US that a few of the Reds’ ambassadors attended while on tour with the squad, Ian Rush was asked if he’d be able to get past Virgil van Dijk.
The former Welsh international quickly quips around to joke about his age – saying he’d have no chance now. I think Rushy may have fancied his chances in his prime!
It’s good to know that a player of his calibre is speaking about Virgil in such a way – a compliment in itself!
