Reds fans will love the message that Klopp sent his players during the summer break

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is the perfect man-manager – he’s proven that time and time again during his career.

This summer, after winning the European Cup for a sixth time in Madrid, was no different, as Ian McGarry has been explaining.

He said on the Transfer Window Podcast, via the Daily Star: “I’m told that he stayed in touch with all of his players who were playing in Copa America, African Cup of Nations and even the ones who were just simply on the beach.

“He stayed in touch and said ‘remember what I said, you’re coming back to something special next season’.”

There is no reason to believe next season won’t be special, either. Right from the first match against Norwich City, the Reds will be going all out to follow up on winning the Champions League by winning the one every fan is desperate for: the Premier League.

Last year was a special campaign, capped with a trophy win at the end, and we can’t wait for the next one to begin. With most of the squad now back for pre-season and the first match of the US tour against Borussia Dortmund just hours away, it’s starting to feel very close.
