Fabinho praised for what he did in America after LFC’s open practice

We adore Fabinho.

It’s crazy to think how far the Brazilian has come from being labelled a flop by many after his opening few months at the club, to being an automatic starter at the hub of our midfield and a lynchpin in our Champions League success.

Jordan Henderson will play his role in defensive midfield this term, but primarily, Fab will hold the fort – protecting our backline and starting attacks with his crisp forward passing.

On Reddit, a post has gone viral in praise of the 25-year-old, who stayed behind after an open training session in Boston and signed every shirt that was presented to him by American Liverpool fans.

In the comments, fans have been raving about Fab, both as a player and a person:

The fact we got him for an initial £39m [BBC Sport] is an insane bargain considering the prices players have been going for this summer.

If he continues to progress and enjoys another productive campaign, we could be rightly speaking about Fabinho as one of the world’s leading anchormen in a year’s time.

The main question regarding Liverpool’s midfield is who’ll regularly start in the two roles beside him, but Fab is likely an automatic at no.6!
