Sam Allardyce’s latest comments are another hilarious swipe at Jurgen Klopp

Sam Allardyce has made some hilarious claims over the years and now he’s attempted to offer some advice to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp, criticising his training methods in the process.

Allardyce has always said that if he wasn’t English, and came from a more ‘fashionable’ place, he would have been offered much more glamorous jobs in football, but he’s certainly in a minority who believe that.

You almost have to admire his self-confidence, though it does lead him to say some daft things.

Now, he’s decided to offer some words of advice to Klopp about how he should be training his players, despite the German having just produced a 97-point league season and a Champions League triumph.

Via the Daily Express, the ex-Everton boss said: “I hope he’s learned his lesson [from] when he first came because he did that pressing job and he got about eight to ten injuries.

“I think when you train at a high intensity and play at a high intensity, you’re going to burn players out. I was speaking to Sir Alex about this at his golf do.”

Quite what Allardyce knows about top-level management, we’re not sure, but he certainly seems to value his own opinion highly. The name-dropping of the former Manchester United boss is quite interesting, as well.

It’s safe to say we’re more than happy for Klopp to keep doing what he has been doing. It’s definitely getting results as far as we can see.
