Jurgen Klopp pinpoints the one area the Reds must improve in pre-Manchester City showdown

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool will be looking to defend better against Manchester City than they managed against Napoli on Sunday in next weekend’s Community Shield.

The Reds were takan apart by Lorenzo Insigne in particular at times in Scotland, with Trent Alexander-Arnold exposed at full-back and Joel Matip caught out of position at times.

Defend like that again next weekend at Wembley and the Reds could be torn apart by Pep Guardiola’s side.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the season curtain raiser – well in advance of the clash, presumably because the Reds are in Evian this week – Klopp pinpointed counter-attacks as an area that needs immediate improvement.
