Reds reportedly set to make move for £13.4 million forward

Liverpool are set to swoop for 23-year-old Bordeaux forward Francois Kamano according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.

The versatile forward can play across the front line and scored 13 times last season in France. He also plays alongside Naby Keita for Guinea, and represented his country at the Africa Cup of Nations over the summer.

Despite being relatively young, Kamano has played 127 times for Bordeaux since signing for them in 2016.

It is thought that a bid of £13.4 million could be imminent. Whether that would be sufficient to convince the French side to sell remains to be seen, but he certainly would not be an expensive acquisition.

If this is correct and the Reds are interested, it would make a lot of sense. Most people believe the club needs another forward player to help cope should Sadio Mane, Mo Salah or Roberto Firmino pick up an injury or require a rest.

He’s also been linked with Southampton in the past, so the Reds could just be cutting out the middle man!
