James Milner says the whole Reds squad miss having Alberto Moreno around the training ground as he sent a message to the Spaniard on Twitter.
The left-back moved to Villarreal on a free transfer earlier in the summer after his contract expired having won the Champions League with the club in June.
Moreno barely played last season – and was behind Milner for a year in the left-back pecking order at one stage – but off the pitch at least, his influence is being missed.
Celebrating Yorkshire Day, Milner took the chance to recall the time Moreno hilariously tried to say the regional phrase ‘Ee by gum’. He also included the hashtag ‘weallmissAlbie’.

Moreno was clearly a great player to have around the squad – something that often gets forgotten when fans talk about whether a player should be sold or not.
Purely on his playing time, Moreno should not have been at the club last season, but he obviously brought a lot to team morale in the changing room.
