Ki-Jana Hoever is just a big a talent as Rhian Brewster, for us.
The Dutchman hasn’t been as highly touted, but we’ve been incredibly impressed every time we’ve seen him operate at either right-back or centre-back.
Versus Lyon last night, the 17-year-old was one of the best players on the field during our 3-1 victory.

In fact, he is beginning to remind us of Trent Alexander-Arnold stylistically. Hoever is quick like the Scouser and loves bombing forward, but more importantly, has superb technical ability that means he’s happy to pick the ball up in tight areas and still find a zipped forward pass.
We haven’t signed a senior backup for Trent, but reckon with Hoever, it’s becoming obvious why not.
