Jurgen Klopp finds quirky way to help Liverpool squad deal with stress

Jurgen Klopp invited a German surfer to talk to the Liverpool squad to talk about stress management. Sebastian Steudtner visited the team in France as part of the pre-season tour.

As per the Times, a session took place in a swimming pool which focused on breathing techniques and took place in preparation for the Community Shield game against Manchester City.

Liverpool players are understood to have been impressed by what they heard as Steudtner preached to the lads about a never say die attitude – something which the squad know all too well.

The surfer is well known on social media for his positive posts so it’s not hard to understand why Klopp wanted a man like that chatting away with the Reds.

Football never stands still – the game is always evolving and Klopp is a progressive kind of manager. Take a look at the role of the full back.

A player like Trent Alexander-Arnold is a million miles away from a player like Steve Finnan, and it’s for the better. Stuff that goes on behind the scenes also has to evolve.

If big Jurg thinks it’s a good idea then I’m all for it.
