Liverpool winger Harry Wilson set for Bournemouth medical ahead of loan move

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson is set to sign for Bournemouth on a season long loan deal with no option for a permanent transfer, according to the BBC.

At 22-years-old, you’d expect the Welshman to either try to break into the first team or look for a move elsewhere, but he’ll come back to Anfield next summer.

Wilson made six appearances for the Reds over pre-season and managed to find the back of the net against Borussia Dortmund and Lyon.

Bournemouth will be without David Brooks for a few months after he sustained an injury. It may be a little bold of me to suggest this, but I think he’ll struggle to get back into the team once Wilson finds his form.

Klopp has suggested players like Wilson and Ryan Kent will not get another loan – they’re to accept a squad role at Anfield or move on to pastures new so they can settle somewhere, but that seems to have changed.

The winger has showed flashes of brilliance on pre-season with Liverpool, and he was incredible last season for Derby County.

He had an impressive return at the Championship club which earned him a nomination for the EFL Young Player of the Year award.
