Liverpool agree exciting Bundesliga 2 loan exit

Liverpool’s 22-year-old centre-back Nat Philipps has joined Stuttgart on loan for the season.

This is according to the Daily Mail, who state the defender will spend the campaign in Bundesliga II after signing a long-term contract with Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp rates Philipps, but he’s our 5th choice central defender; maybe even 6th choice after the purchase of Sepp van den Berg – so wouldn’t have played any football this term for the first-team.

We just hope the Englishman is a regular for Stuttgart and that he establishes himself well on the continent.

Most likely, Philipps will increase his value and eventually earn a permanent exit – as with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip still having years left on their deals – a future at the heart of Klopp’s backline looks unlikely.

We wish Philipps the best of luck for his German adventure! He’s a good player and now needs to get lucky with injuries and prove as much.
