Mo Salah makes incredible donation to Cairo hospital after suspected terrorist attack

Reds forward Mo Salah has donated around £2.5 million to the National Cancer Institute in his home country of Egypt.

20 people were killed and another 47 were injured in a suspected terrorist attack involving a car speeding on the wrong side of the road.

The hospital was damaged after an explosion, meaning it needs to be partially rebuilt. Salah’s donation will cover around half the cost of that reconstruction.

Salah is one of a number of high-profile individuals to have donated to the cause. It’s not the first time he’s donated to things like this, and it just goes to show the type of person he is.

Salah is revered in his homeland for his footballing ability, but it is acts of kindness like these that really make people warm to him. Things like this make you feel proud that he represents Liverpool.
