Adrian kept out Tammy Abraham’s penalty in the shootout this evening to confirm Liverpool’s victory in the Super Cup v Chelsea.
Liverpool scored all five of our spot-kicks, showing incredible bottle, with our new Spanish keeper standing still and stopping Chelsea forward Abraham’s central effort.
We were poor in the first-half, but with Roberto Firmino on the field in the second, we deserved to win the game – and would have if it wasn’t for the Blues being giving a pen in Extra Time.
Sadio Mane was legendary, but the main thing is we’ve picked up another recognised trophy.
Jurgen Klopp seemed to enjoy it, too…
