Last night’s Super Cup win means that Liverpool have won 43 recognised major trophies, one more than our great rivals Manchester United.
The Champions League saw us go level with the Red Devils a few months back – and the Super Cup confirms top spot!

Despite Manchester United’s extravagant summer spending and their self-proclaimed ‘best defence on the planet,’ we’re surely in a better position this term to add to our haul.
We also have the World Club Championships over the winter, which although debilitating to our Premier League campaign, will provide us another opportunity for accepted competitive silverware.
It’s unlikely that with our fairly small squad we’ll be able to challenge for the EFL Cup and the FA Cup this term, an in truth, we doubt Jurgen Klopp would mind being knocked out of both competitions early.
However, he’ll do all he can so Liverpool have another chance in one of the big ones…
Who knows, maybe we’ll be celebrating no.7 in 2020!
