Former Red Peter Crouch hails Liverpool star forwards

Former Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch has heaped praise on Reds forwards Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Bobby Firmino.

Bobby starred for Liverpool in the second half of the UEFA Super Cup showdown with Chelsea by setting up Sadio, and Mo tore Norwich a new one in the Premier League opener.

The star trio are picking up exactly where they left off – that’s only good news for the Reds, and former striker Crouch admits that they’ve dazzled him.

The European Super Cup was a thriller and I know what it will have meant to Liverpool’s players to have won in Istanbul. I was at the club in 2005 when we beat CSKA Moscow in the Super Cup and it was a big deal for everyone,he wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.

There is some talk about Liverpool’s defence not being right but I watched the front three dazzle once again. Mo Salah looks so sharp but Sadio Mane was brilliant. He is primed for another huge season.

Crouchy is right to name the trio as Liverpool’s biggest threat – as much as a clean sheet is vital in some games, you can’t win anything without goals.

Salah and Mane will undoubtedly be chasing for another slice of the Premier League Golden Boot pie this season, and they’ve made a good start.

It seems Raheem Sterling will be more of a problem to them this season, but they both managed to equal the high-flying Arsenal forward Aubameyang so they shouldn’t be too worried of his threat.
