LFC will be first English club to achieve incredible feat if they win the Club World Cup

Liverpool, as you may have heard, won the Champions League over the summer and followed that up with a UEFA Super Cup victory over Chelsea in Istanbul.

The Reds are due to take part in the FIFA Club World Cup over the summer, as the representatives of Europe, after winning their sixth Champions League title in Madrid.

Another chance of silverware will not be sniffed at by Jurgen Klopp who has seemingly got into the habit of winning trophies at Liverpool now.

The Club World Cup represents a unique opportunity for the Reds in that they’d become the first English club to win the international treble of the Champions League, Super Cup and CWC.

Liverpool took part in the competition after winning number five in Istanbul, but were eliminated by Brazilian outfit São Paulo.

Real Madrid were crowned Club World Cup champions last season and were able to wear those glorious golden patches on their kit because of it.

For the sake of the stunning black and gold goalkeeper kit alone, we deserve to flaunt it this year.

Of course – there is no official ‘international treble’, but when Jose Mourinho claims the League Cup, Europa League and Community Shield is a treble then no holds are barred.
