Jurgen Klopp names the three things he’ll be looking for against Arsenal – and two are slightly odd

Jurgen Klopp says he wants to see bravery, greed and anger from his players on Saturday evening at Anfield, according to LiverpoolFC.com, as the Reds face Arsenal in an early-season top-of-the-table clash.

It seems like a slightly odd list of demands but we get what he means. Bravery on the ball, greed to pick up another three points, and anger in terms of finding the motivation to win again will all be important.

Following victories against Norwich City and Southampton in the Premier League so far, the Reds have a 100% record after two games. Only the Gunners can match that to this point, so something will have to give by the final whistle.

Klopp wants his players to make the most of the opportunity to go top of the table outright no matter what else happens this weekend around the country.

He expanded: “We have to be brave, have to play your own football, you have to try to keep possession, you have to be direct. There are a lot of things to do and consider, against a very strong opponent. I’m really looking forward to it.”

With 4.5 goals per game on average over the last 11 league meetings between the sides, it could be another classic this evening. Equally, though, we’d take a scrappy 1-0 win – the only thing that matters is that the Reds get another three points on the board.
