Jurgen Klopp outlines his plan for when he leaves the Reds

Jurgen Klopp says he will take a sabbatical when the time comes to leave the Reds, giving him time to decide his next move.

There has been a suggestion that he will take the German national team job following his time at Anfield, though that would lack the day-to-day contact with players that he enjoys, while he could also retire and spend time with his family.

Klopp has normally spent seven years at each of his clubs, which would give him another couple of seasons at Anfield yet, but no doubt behind the scenes work will be going on to convince him to stay for longer.

Having won the Champions League last season, the next big goal is the Premier League.

The German is already going to go down as one of the best managers of his generation, but bring the league title home for the first time in more than three decades, and he could get a statue built outside Anfield when he departs.
