Former Reds defender Mark Lawrenson says he is concerned about goalkeeper Adrian, who got away with another poor bit of play against Arsenal as he gifted the ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with the game goalless, only for the forward to lift a shot wide of the target.
Last weekend, Adrian got away with a howler that allowed Danny Ings to score for Southampton, and while he was the hero in the UEFA Super Cup final, not everyone is convinced about him just yet.
Lawrenson certainly isn’t as he made his feelings known post-match.
Speaking on LFCTV on Saturday, via the Metro, Lawro said: “The goalkeeper worries me. The last two games, he made the mistake at Southampton when he shouldn’t have been under any pressure and he got away with a big one today.
“He should have let [Virgil] van Dijk just sort that situation out and he came running off his line.
“I know he’s experienced and everything but there’s a reason why nobody else was taking him. That decision he made today doesn’t matter whether you’ve been there a minute or a thousand minutes with somebody, it’s his decision making. He just worries me a little bit.”
Alisson is still injured for the time being, but will hopefully be back shortly after the international break. In the meantime, Adrian will have to do his best.

Next weekend, the Reds travel to Burnley which will be another huge test for him. Hopefully, he will be able to put in a strong performance that will be enough to see the Reds pick up another three points.
