Trent Alexander-Arnold is renowned for his crossing ability so it’s a little surprising when one of his deliveries doesn’t find it’s supposed target.
The full back aims a deep cross in toward a Mo Salah, as the Egyptian was making a threatening run into the box, but the hits Chris Wood en route to its destination.
The deflection is enough to change the flight of the ball, and completely wrong foot Nick Pope, and the ball floated into the back of the net.
Unfortunately, this was later chalked up as an own goal by Wood.
