Liverpool youngster Paul Glatzel’s two-word message to Bobby Duncan

Posted by

Bobby Duncan has signed for Fiorentina from Liverpool on a three-year deal for £1.8million, and his LFC U18s’ partner in crime Paul Glatzel has wished him well.

Duncan and Glatzel formed the most deadly striker partnership in Europe last season, but it seems they’ve played together for the last time.

The duo scored over 60 goals between them, playing for the U18s last year, and there was high hopes that both forwards would work their way through the ranks over the coming seasons.

But we don’t be seeing that now. Duncan’s agent Saif Rubie has surely damaged the Knowsley-born forward’s relationship with the club.

The main thing here though is the players. They’re only young lads, and even though Bobby has moved on to pastures new, his mate Paul has wished him well.

Duncan shared a post on Instagram which wished Liverpool well, and the German youngster chimed in with a simple two-word response – ‘good luck’.

Agents can often make things messy, but when it’s all said and done, at least it seems Bobby and Paul are still friendly off of the field.

Rubie’s statement, which you can read here via talkSPORT, could have given the impression that Duncan saw himself as more valuable because of his relation to Steven Gerrard, but I’m glad that doesn’t seem to be the case.
