Laughing Salah eases Mane fears ahead of Newcastle clash

Mohamed Salah’s latest Tweet seems to have dismissed any notion of a rift between himself and Sadio Mane.

A fortnight ago at Burnley, in Liverpool’s most recent game, Mane was visibly furious that Salah had not teed him up for a tap-in late-on.

That led to the suggestions that the rivalry between the pair had spilled over into animosity.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright, for example, claimed Mane’s anger ran deep.

But right from the outset the two players seemed to have put the incident behind them, with both expressing amusement at their team-mates’ reactions.

And now, on the eve of the Reds’ return to action, Salah seems to have truly put any concerns to bed.

The Egyptian responded to a video put together by Norwegian television channel TV 2 Sporten, which dubbed the pair’s faces over a viral video of two friends reuniting in New York City, with a pair of laughing emojis.

Let’s hope to see more evidence that Mane’s Turf Moor outburst was a mere flash in the pan on Saturday afternoon.
