The latest on Andy Robertson and Divock Origi sounds like promising news

Ahead of the Reds’ clash with Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday night, Jurgen Klopp has provided a promising update on the injuries sustained to Andy Robertson and Divock Origi during the weekend’s game against Newcastle United.

Robertson will be assessed on Tuesday morning having sat out Monday’s training session as a precaution, according to LiverpoolFC.com, with Klopp confirming that it is not a ‘major thing’.

Origi will be out for slightly longer, and did not travel with his teammates to Italy, but is only expected to miss between one and two weeks, which is likely to see him miss the match against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

It’s never nice to see a player miss any game through injury, but it sounds like Robertson has a good chance of featuring at the Stadio San Paolo.

With Origi being taken off in the first half at Anfield against Steve Bruce’s team, it could easily have been much worse for him too.
