Hypocritical Napoli paper slams LFC youngsters for disrespectful behaviour

According to Napoli supporting media outlet CalcioNapoli24, a section of young Liverpool players who were watching the game on Tuesday behaved disrespectfully at the upgraded San Paolo stadium.

The paper says the watching players had their feet on seats and had to be asked a number of times to take them down.

‘Only after repeat insistence to the players (from stewards) to observe a more appropriate and respectful attitude, the situation returned to normal,’ they wrote.

Funnily enough, the same publication made no mention of the multiple attacks on Liverpool fans from Napoli supporters made outside the ground before and after the game – one of which left a Red in hospital – with CEO Peter Moore visiting him.

The San Paolo stadium is known for its vibrant, noisy and at times, crazy, atmosphere – so for an article to be penned about feet on seats seems a little farcical to us.

We’d suggest the pattern of Italian fans assaulting English supporters during Champions League ties would be a far more pressing subject.

That’s now AS Roma and Napoli where Reds have been attacked without reason by Italian thugs.
