Massive outpouring of love for ‘Robbo’ swamps Twitter as LFC fans show true colours for world’s ‘greatest left-back’

Andy Robertson deactivated his Twitter account following Liverpool’s defeat to Napoli on Tuesday evening.

He gave away the penalty which effectively won Napoli the game, although in reality, Jose Callejon dived horrendously and it was outrageous that VAR didn’t overturn the decision.

Still, there were probably a few annoyed tweets at the time – but truthfully – nothing we saw that could be considered abusive.

After the deactivation, for which there is no proof or explanation as to its reason, fans of Liverpool and opposition teams assumed he’d got rid of Twitter due to mistreatment and nasty comments.

We imagine there were some, but we repeat, we didn’t see them.

In fact, there was plenty worse said by Scots following their horrible international break.

So while this outpour of love from Reds for our world-class left-back is brilliant – we’re not sure it was even required! After all, Salah deactivated Twitter last season before a sponsored campaign he was doing with adidas!

Still, it’s fantastic to see how much real Liverpool fans adore the Scot – who is undoubtedly the best left-back we’ve had since (and maybe even including) the 1980s.

Robbo, if you really did get rid of Twitter for the negative comments, then read this!
