Klopp puts staggering transfer value on Abraham & Mount

Jurgen Klopp has lauded Chelsea’s young talent ahead of our clash with the Blues on Sunday.

We travel south to face Frank Lampard’s interesting side, which has a number of young English players emerging due to their transfer ban.

Tammy Abraham already has seven goals in the Premier League this term, while Mason Mount has impressed just as much and is now a regular member of the England squad.

Klopp has labelled Chelsea a ‘top contender,’ stating that the two English players are worth at least £120m combined in today’s market.

“[Pulisic] will be a proper player. He’s a talent, dynamic, good with both feet and a super-exciting player,” he told Sky Sports. “A good signing. I’m not sure about the money, but he is a £50-£60m player. Now [Tammy] Abraham is worth £60m. Mason Mount, for sure, is worth more. They are a proper team and they are contenders for everything.”

“If there is one club in the world who a transfer ban didn’t hit that bad then I would say it was Chelsea because of their policy of the last few years. They had players on loan who have come back. Tammy Abraham knows how to score. They have all my respect. A top contender.”

Like Klopp, we respect Chelsea and are not considering the weekend match a gimme.

Our side is more experienced though and we hope Liverpool’s superb attackers will be able to take advantage of some of the sloppier elements of Chelsea’s defending which has been evident under Frank Lampard without his best centre-back Antonio Rudiger…

Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino fired a blank on Tuesday v Napoli and will be eager to right their wrongs.

We’re backing them to make to six wins from six in the Premier League, heading into midweek where we’ll rest everybody for the EFL Cup game with MK Dons.
