The statistic that suggests Bobby Firmino will score against Chelsea

Bobby Firmino has been on fire of late, and it seems people outside of the club are starting to come to terms with his class.

The Brazilian forward is crucial to Jurgen Klopp’s team plan, but because he doesn’t score as many goals as a typical No. 9, people assume he’s not that good.

It’d only take you about 20 minutes of actually watching Bobby to realise he’s special, mind.

Liverpool take on Premier League rivals Chelsea this weekend, and the boss will be desperate for three points amid Manchester City’s injury crisis.

And one statistic points to Firmino being the man to make the difference at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Bobby loves playing against the big boys in the Premier League – and I mean he loves it. I think Arsenal defenders have nightmares about the Brazilian.

Since 2014, Firmino has managed to stack up 14 goals in 37 appearances against other clubs in the league’s ‘top six’ – that’s better than one in every three games (xG: 0.39).

As a comparison, that’s better than Sadio Mane who has managed 18 in 50 (xG: 0.36).

Only Harry Kane (xG: 0.5), Sergio Aguero (xG: 0.68) and Jamie Vardy (xG: 0.54) have a better expected goals rating than our Bobby.

I’ve a feeling the travelling Kop will be belting out ‘Si Señor’ once again this weekend.
