As well as the goals, there was another moment that Reds fans enjoyed: Virgil van Dijk’s smirk in the direction of N’Golo Kante after he knocked the ball out of play.
The French midfielder was superb on the night, but could not get past the Dutchman here as his attempted trickery resulted in a goal kick.
