Thousands of Liverpool fans will have been impacted by the collapse of Thomas Cook, with the holiday and travel company going into liquidation today.
21,000 people will lose jobs with the firm across the country while anyone who has booked flights and holidays with the company are being urged to seek advice on the best course of action.
150,000 people are believed to be currently stranded abroad with flights back to the UK now cancelled.
The collapse will also affect anyone who has booked packages to come to Anfield this season through Thomas Cook, with 360 hospitality packages for each home fixture sold already.
Via LiverpoolFC.com, the club said: “We are aware Thomas Cook has ceased trading this morning. We are currently assessing the impact of Thomas Cook ceasing trading and the impact for those supporters who have purchased packages from Thomas Cook.
“Once we have those details from Thomas Cook we will update supporters.”

More information on the emerging story will come out over the coming weeks, but no good can come out of it. It is unclear what will happen with those Reds fans intending to come to Anfield on the Thomas Cook tickets but an arrangement is likely to be made.
The next home game is the Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg, with the Premier League match against Leicester City days after that.
