Manchester City dealt fresh Kevin De Bruyne injury blow

Our Premier League title rivals Manchester City haven’t had the best luck when it’s come to injuries, thus far this season.

Aymeric Laporte and John Stones are set to spend a lengthy amount of time on the sidelines, but now Kevin De Bruyne is also expected to miss some game time.

The Belgian international was substituted in the second half as Man City went on to beat Everton at Goodison Park, but no eyebrows were raised.

But now De Bruyne has been noted to have missed training on Monday ahead of the Citizens’ Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb.

The Athletic’s City corresponded Sam Lee has reported that there will be tests to find out the extent of the injury.

The 28-year-old is one of the best players in the Premier League, and any time on the sidelines for the midfielder is harmful for our title rivals.

It’s unclear if De Bruyne has sustained an injury or whether Pep Guardiola is just being careful with his star man, similarly to how Jurgen Klopp has been with Naby Keita of late.

Zagreb pose as a challenge to City as they currently top their Champions League group, and surely the Manchester based club will want to take their place.
