Supporters of Jurgen Klopp’s previous club Mainz have unfurled a banner for the Liverpool boss, after he was crowned FIFA’s manager of the year.
The German manager managed Mainz for between 2001 and 2008, taking them to the Bundesliga in the first time of their history in 2004.
The banner is obviously in their native tongue, but it says “for us it was clear all the time, now it is official: Jurgen Klopp is the best of the world.”
Before managing Mainz, Klopp played for them during his professional days as a footballer – this touch will mean a lot to him.
