Jurgen Klopp fails to rule out Alisson return for Leicester fixture

Liverpool fans are chomping at the bit to see Alisson back between the sticks at Anfield, even through Adrian has done an admirable job.

The Brazil star has been on the sidelines since picking up an injury in the Reds’ season opener against Norwich City in the Premier League.

Since then Adrian has filled in for his team-mate, and has put in a decent effort, but you can’t just brush over the quality which Alisson brings.

That being said, Jurgen Klopp was asked about injury news ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League showdown with Red Bull Leipzig, and he confirmed that Xherdan Shaqiri was unavailable, Joel Matip will face a last-minute fitness test and the game comes too soon for Alisson.

It then that he dropped this line, when talking about our No. 1: “It was a serious injury and we don’t want to take any risks. For [Leipzig], no chance. We have to see for Leicester, then for United 100 per cent,as per Neil Jones.

Opinion

While it would be out of character for Klopp to bring a player back into the fold after such an injury, there may actually be something to it.

We face off against Manchester United soon, and that fixture should be when Alison returns, in my opinion – maybe the boss is hoping he can shake off some rust before we play our biggest rivals.
