Furious Klopp slams ‘dangerous as hell’ Choudhury as Salah faces time on sidelines

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is rightly furious at Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury after a careless challenge on star winger Mohamed Salah.

The 22-year-old needs to ease off with these sort of tackles, before he develops an infamous reputation. With Salah, he could have easily brought him down another way and absorb a booking.

But the player decided to go right in on Mo’s ankle, and in all honesty, appearing to attempting to injure the Egyptian on purpose.

He does have previous for seeing players off to the physio’s office – a few weeks back he put a horrible one in on Matt Ritchie, and he’s been out of action since.

The boss was furious with Choudhury after the game, and expressed as much in his post-match interview with reporters. “It’s a challenge I really don’t understand. It’s dangerous as hell,he’s quoted as saying by Melissa Reddy.

He has to calm down in situations like this, it is not the first time. He is a super player, top development, but these kind of challenges – no!

There really is no defending the tackle that the Leicester man put in on Salah, but at least it seems he may not be out of action for too long – and there’s now a two week break in football for him.

Daily Mirror reporter issued Liverpool fans some good news well after the full-time whistle, as initial checks on the winger has suggested the injury isn’t as bad as first feared.
