Everybody was talking about Liverpool’s penalty and then the petulant fight after our victory against Leicester City on Saturday – but at times – we played some exhilarating football and in truth, should have been out of sight by the time they got their equaliser.
In the second-half especially, we carved the Foxes apart – with Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino linking up very effectively.
This particular attack almost led to a world-class goal – and makes a mockery of the idea that our no.10 and no.11 don’t play for each other.
Sadly Mane’s effort ended up in the side-netting, as it would have been a Goal of the Season contender.
We’re not complaining of course. The weekend went quite well for Liverpool fans!
