Liverpool trio to undergo extra training for maximum fitness v Manchester United

ESPN reports Alisson, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be doing extra training during the next week in an order to kick-start their respective seasons.

Our starting goalkeeper has been thankfully left out by Brazil and should be ready to start between the sticks at Old Trafford in place of Adrian – who has done so well in our no.1’s absence.

Neither Ox or Lallana made Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad – a sign that they’re not featuring much for Liverpool.

But the pair have previous long-term injuries and haven’t been exceptional when given minutes this season by Jurgen Klopp.

Lallana’s best days are probably behind him but we still have very high hopes for Ox, who has the drive and thrust to make a real difference to one of the positions either side of Fabinho in Klopp’s midfield three.

Neither will get the nod against United, with Klopp certain to field Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum next to Fab barring any unfortunate injuries during the international break.

Fingers crossed everyone returns in full health.
