Rb Salzburg coach intimates he was forced into filmed dressing room rant he found ‘not so pleasant’

Red Bull Salzburg manager Jesse Marsch went viral last week, not only for his team’s exceptional performance against Liverpool in the Champions League – but also for the film of his half-time dressing room speech.

The talk helped inspire his team to come back from 3-1 to 3-3, but thankfully Mo Salah clinched a winner for us in the second-half.

Marsch though has suggested he found the footage a little embarrassing, and that he had to agree to it as an employee of Red Bull.

“We have this documentary. And usually, it will be released maybe four weeks later, and then the emotion is gone for the moment,” Marsch told Sky Sports Austria, via Sports Witness.

“It’s for people to see what’s happening right now. It was not so pleasant for us all. But this is real. This is us.

“From the beginning, I’ve heard in Europe, and I’ve seen that the dressing room is closed and only for the team. Yes, that’s also true for me.

“It’s not always pleasant, but I think people appreciate that.

“Realistic situations of life and people are always interesting. And I think at this moment we have an interesting team with many good players and a good history,” said the American coach.

“Klopp is in a very different situation than Red Bull Salzburg.

“The coach is an employee. And so I have to represent this club, and at this moment it’s a new story for Red Bull Salzburg.”

So impressive was Marsch’s tactical performance, we think he may soon be approached by a much larger European club – although there’s certainly nothing wrong with his current side.

Nobody has caused our defence that much trouble this term – Chelsea, Arsenal and Leicester City included.

We just hope we’ve qualified for the knockout stages by the time we have to play our final game of the group, which is away in Austria.

Hopefully, two wins against Genk and then another v Napoli at home will confirm this.
