Reds fans are often not massive supporters of the England national football team, and with frustrating injuries often picked up by players representing other countries, international breaks can often feel boring and a pain.
Under Jurgen Klopp, however, the Reds’ record in matches that come immediately after international breaks is very good.

According to the Liverpool ECHO, the Reds have only lost one of the Premier League matches that immediately follows an international break under Klopp – and he has been in charge for 16 of them.
That one loss was against Manchester City in the game when Sadio Mane was controversially dismissed for a high boot on Ederson, and had the Senegalese not been sent off in the first half, it could have been very different.
There have been five draws in matches immediately after international breaks, but that figure is not bad when it is considered that, like next weekend, half of the 16 games after returning from international duty have been against other top-six sides, and another was a Merseyside derby.
The Reds will be hoping to maintain that impressive record with another win at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, which would also be their 18th league victory on the spin.
