“Something a lot of teams aren’t capable of” – Trent lauds LFC’s turnaround

Liverpool full back Trent Alexander-Arnold believes that our fixtures against Manchester United are still massive, even if our rival’s form has dipped in recent years.

Moreover, Trent has praised his team-mates for their attitude to bounce back from a difficult season in which we lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid.

We – of course – went on to lift ol’ big ears just 12 months later as we dispatched Spurs 2-0 in the final which fittingly took place in Madrid.

It takes a lot of character for the lads to pick themselves up off the canvas and go again the following season, but we did – and then some!

And it’s that kind of attitude that has Trent buzzing with pride ahead of our clash with long standing rivals Manchester United.

The players that we have in our side have all had failures before, we’ve all had setbacks and knock-backs,he’s quoted as saying by the club’s official site.

We’ve really bounced back from there and got to where we are now and where we are as a team. The biggest example of that is probably the fact that we lost the Champions League final the season before and were able to use that as motivation to get back there and win it the next season.

It’s something a lot of teams aren’t capable of, but we’ve showed that we are and we’re able to get better from disappointment.

This season, the Reds are unbeaten in the Premier League and a win against United will ensure we match a record set by Manchester City for consecutive wins.

Alisson and Mo Salah are expected to return from injuries to play a part at Old Trafford which will come as welcome news for Liverpool fans.
