Sadio Mane explains how every LFC player ‘was taking the p***’ of him and Salah

Sadio Mane has explained how he and Mo Salah were the victim of some teasing after the incident during our victory over Burnley that saw the no.10 kick off at the no.11 for not passing!

Liverpool were already 3-0 and cruising to an easy win at Turf Moor. Looking for goals, Salah failed to provide his team-mate the ball on more than one occasion, much to the visible dismay of Mane – who is usually known for his calmness and humility.

Obviously the incident became the talking point of the game, but both players shrugged it off and we’ve continued to win ever since.

“Everyone was taking the p**s out of us!” Mane said, reported in the Mirror, during a longer description of the aftermath.

“Wijnaldum, who likes to tease people, waited until everyone was there, came up to me and asked out loud ‘Mo Salah, why did Mane want to hit you?’ and the whole team started laughing.”

If this doesn’t prove the moment did absolutely nothing to destabilise the squad, nothing will!

Salah and Mane have 14 goals between them this term and are playing as well as ever.

Their biggest test of the season so far though will take place on Sunday – as Liverpool travel to Manchester United.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s men are in awful form, but that book goes out in the window, especially when we’re at Old Trafford – our bogey ground.

A win will set us up perfectly for Tottenham’s visit to Anfield a week later. In November we host Manchester City, before a long run of fixtures we’d expect to be favourites in before Christmas.
